Around four days ago, Dharmendra was admitted to the ICU of a hospital in South Mumbai. The latest is that he has been moved out of the intensive care unit. We hear that his son, actor Sunny Deol, visited him today and spent time with him. A source told BT, “Dharmendra is doing better now but he will be under observation and will probably be in the hospital for a few more days.”
On the work front, Dharmendra will be seen in the sequel to 'Apne' (2007), which will reunite him with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. The film will feature his grandson Karan Deol as well. He is also a part of the Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani', which is scheduled to release in February 2023. The film marks the reunion of Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan after 48 years. The two were last seen in 'Sholay' (1975).

In November last year, Dharmendra had shared a picture of his 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' team on his social media page. The photo featured him with Shabana Azmi, Alia, Ranveer and director Karan Johar. Along with the photograph, he wrote, “ Dosto, pyaar mohabbat izzat itni milli sab se… pata hi nahin chala main nayi unit ke saath kaam kar raha.”

Dharmendra has been all praise for young stars Alia and Ranveer. In an interview with TOI, he had said, “Ranveer looks so natural in all his films. Bada hi pyaara ladka hai (He is such an adorable boy). Whenever we bump into each other at a function, woh aake mere paas baith jaata hai (he sits beside me). Likewise, Alia is also brilliant at her work.”

We wish the veteran actor a speedy recovery.
